PS- I wrote this on Tuesday when it was crazy raining and forgot to post....
Front page news. Breaking news.That's what the first big rain of the season does to our city. Everything will center around the weather for the next few days. But it does give us the excuse to hunker down in the house, eat some yummy comfort food, and decline any request to leave the house. The weather allows us to slow down a bit, to take an unplanned breather from commitments like sports and committees and errands.
I'll make baked chicken tonite with mashed potatoes and the last of the fresh,frozen corn from the summer. We'll get homework out of the way and put in a movie. A treat for the middle of the week. And we'll all sleep great tonite.
